Fair-trade Chocolate Banana Fudge Cup

It’s a kind of Chocolate Banoffee Pie, but someone might say I am wrong to call this toffee, so I thought I should be honest.

Yes, it is Chocolate fudge left over from my fudge favour factory.
In the process of making little cubes of fudge, I ended up having so many off cuts of fudge.
We ate it so much at trial process, and we don’t want to eat any more fudge.

But I think those left over fudge can be used for different thing.

It’s UK’s  fair trade fortnight now, and this year’s theme is Banana.

So, here it is, dedicated to FT fortnight, FT banana and FT fudge cup!

Base is usual digestive + butter mix.
About a couple of handful of Chocolate fudge off cuts were soften in microwave slightly, and mixed with 1 table spoon of double cream. (I could put a bit more, as it was a bit thick when I ate it after being chilled.) it’s just a guess work…
Then pushed sliced banana into fudge mix.
Covered the top with whipped cream. (double cream + whipped cream)

and Hooray, it is Friday! the end of February!!

    1. Thanks, Alex! I used some of chocolate fudge in sweet bread as well, and it was also nice. I got some batch of rum&raisin fudge failure, but I am sure that I can come up with some way to use in my baking.

    1. Thanks, Ngan! I got those jam pots (Kilner jars) a few month ago after seeing it at restaurant serving lemon posset inside.
      It is very handy for keeping dessert in fridge, not need for covering up with cling films! I also use it to take those dessert to my friends’. They give the jars back to me next time I see them, so I can use it again and again.

    1. oh wow, another bird bloger! Thanks. My blog name comes from a comment a friend of mine made years ago, when I was dating my now husband, travelling japan-belfast twice a year. She said I was like a ‘travelling little bird’, like migrating birds flying across the world, then I started using nickname ‘weebirdie’. 🙂

  7. They look so cute, Weebirdie! These would be great for a picnic or an outdoor party, yeah? With the jars easy to transport and you can cover them up easily so no ants will have a chance! 🙂

    1. Ants! (or more trouble with wasps than ants at picnic around here) I never thought of that benefit. Yes, the lid is great with this jar, I would use it for picnic this summer. Thanks for the idea!

    1. Julianna, you didn’t see my kitchen! The kitchen surface was covered with fudge, fudge, and more fudge. My husband announced after first testing batch that he had way too much fudge and feel sick just looking at them!!

    1. Patty, thanks! Yes, it is all good stuff, fair-trade banana, sugar, chocolate and local cream. For that, I would like to say this is guilt free treat, but well… you know. 😉
